Commitment To Openness And Privacy

The University of Mississippi Foundation is committed to upholding and preserving public and private trust, while at the same time protecting the privacy of donors and employees, and the confidentiality of its operational strategies.

Established in 1973, the UM Foundation is an independent, nonprofit corporation, with its own tax‐exempt status under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). Despite its private status, the UM Foundation openly shares as much information as it can in order to further the public’s understanding of its mission and operations.

Accountability

The UM Foundation complies with state and federal disclosure requirements by providing audited financials, summaries of investment activities, annual reports, IRS Form 990, and a roster of board members through its Web site, https://www.umfoundation.com.

Private Trust

The UM Foundation respects the privacy concerns of individuals. The Foundation does not disclose, except to service providers and University staff associated with fundraising activities, private information entrusted to it by donors, volunteers, and staff. This information includes but is not limited to donor and prospective donor information, trust documents, wills, and personnel records.

Internet Privacy Policy

The University of Mississippi Foundation (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the https://www.umfoundation.com website (the “Service”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of August 1, 2023 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

Search

Online gifts for the 2024 calendar year should be made no later than noon on December 31, 2024.  Checks by mail will need to be postmarked by December 31 to be counted in the 2024 calendar year.
